Les Lacs du Col Bas
Derrière le sommet de Dormillouse, trois lacs d'altitude — le Lac Noir, le Lac du Milieu et le Lac de la Cabane — se trouvent dans un Espace Naturel Sensible classé pour sa biodiversité exceptionnelle, où les plantes ont lentement envahi l'eau et la tourbe s'accumule en couches à raison de 3 à 4 centimètres par siècle. La couleur noirâtre des lacs provient de la matière organique conservée dans ces couches de tourbe, chacune constituant un témoignage de vie disparue, tandis que les marmottes montent la garde depuis les alpages environnants à 2 100 m d'altitude.
