  Der Weg steigt durch die Valle Lavizzara — ein stilles Seitental der Vallemaggia — hinauf und beginnt in Mogno, wo Mario Bottas Kirche San Giovanni Battista steht: ein elliptisches Bauwerk aus abwechselnden Bändern aus Peccia-Marmor und Riveo-Granit, dessen geneigtes Glasdach das Innere mit nördlichem Licht flutet, erbaut auf den Ruinen einer 1986 durch eine Lawine zerstörten Kirche. Von dort führt der Pfad weiter hinauf zum Alpendorf Fusio.
