The Meditationsweg Ammergauer Alpen is an 85 km long-distance trail threading through the Ammergau Alps Nature Park, linking the Wieskirche in Steingaden to Linderhof Palace in the Graswang Valley near Ettal, with 15 stations that take in famous architecture, lonely chapels, and natural monuments. One stage passes through the Grottenweg to the Benedictine Monastery at Ettal.
