Zirbenweg
A high-altitude traverse at around 2,000 metres through one of the largest Swiss stone pine forests in Europe, the trail threads between centuries-old trees with open views across the Inntal valley to the Karwendel mountains. Along the way, hikers pass Europe's highest botanical show garden and the Boschebenhütte, with alpine roses in bloom making June and July a particularly vivid time to walk it.
