The KAT Walk climbs from the chic streets of Kitzbühel to the summit of Kitzbüheler Horn at 1,996 m, passing an Alpenblumengarten across open alpine terrain, before a notably steep descent on the northwest side toward Harschbichl and down into St. Johann in Tirol.

From the summit of the Kitzbüheler Horn — reached by the Hornbahn cable car — the route descends past the Hofer family's alpine flower garden, where mountain blooms gathered from the Caucasus, the Andes, the Pyrenees, and the Himalayas grow alongside local Alpine species.
