From the valley at Zauchensee, the route climbs through forest via seven switchbacks to the Strimsalmen alpine pastures, then pushes on to the summit cross of the Strimskogel — a solitary peak at 2.138 m that rewards with a panoramic all-round view over the Zauchensee basin. The descent threads back via the Hakopf, Schlaningsattel, Stubhöhe, and the Oberzauchenseealmen before returning to the valley floor.
