Saumweg
The Saumweg traces a medieval pack-animal route used between 1230 and 1830, when mule drivers hauled salt, wine, cloth, grain, cheese, and oil between Lake Zurich and central Switzerland. Brown waymarkers guide walkers through the landscape around Zug, a town shaped by its position on the lake and along the western slopes of the Zugerberg, once a key transhipment point where goods were transferred onto boats bound for Immensee and the Vierwaldstättersee.

The Panoramaweg Ägerital runs along a ridge with views down both sides — Lake Zurich to the north and Lake Aegeri plus the Uri Alps to the south — passing through dense fir forest near the Raten Pass (1077 m), a low pass road between the Ägerisee and the Rothenthurm High Moor.
