From a waterfall called the Schleierfall, the route climbs through forest to the Iseler-Platz-Hütte with its views of the Hörnerkette, then crosses the German-Austrian border along a historic Schmugglersteig — a smugglers' path — before descending to Schattwald in the Tannheimer Tal.
