06E - Capanna Barone - Fusio
The route descends from the Bocchetta della Campala through brief exposed sections into the Valle di Prato — where the Capanna Soveltra once stood before burning down in 2017 — then climbs through larch trees to the Piatto, the only high plateau along the entire Trekking dei Camosci, all beneath the looming Pizzo Campo Tencia, the alpine and geographic centerpoint of Ticino.

The trail climbs through Valle Lavizzara — a serene side valley of Vallemaggia — beginning at Mogno, where Mario Botta's Church of San Giovanni Battista stands: an elliptical structure of alternating Peccia marble and Riveo granite bands, its tilted glass roof flooding the interior with northern light, built on the ruins of a church destroyed by an avalanche in 1986. From there the path continues up to the alpine village of Fusio.

From the pastures of Corte Piatto and the panoramic Bassa di Pertüs, the route threads a moderately technical passage around Corona di Redorta before dropping to the Ri di Larecc river, where it veers into an Alpine landscape once negotiated by goatherds picking their way along ledges between rock outcrops. The descent continues through sparse larch woodland past "Cascina nuova," a farmhouse named only because it is slightly less ancient than its neighbours in the history-steeped Val di Prato.
