Swiss Tour Monte Rosa
A high-altitude panoramic traverse linking Saas-Fee to Zermatt, the route strings together views of 13 four-thousanders visible from Saas-Fee alone, threading the steep flanks of the Mischabel group along the Europaweg before crossing the 500 m Charles Kuonen suspension bridge — the world's longest pedestrian suspension bridge — with the Matterhorn waiting at the far end.

A descending mountain path through one of Switzerland's largest wildlife reserves, where chamois — mothers with grown kids, young bucks, or whole herds — graze along rocky ledges and alpine meadows, sometimes lying so still against the terrain that only a patient, unhurried gaze will find them. Edelweiss grows along the way.

The trail climbs from Tufteren over the Ritzengrat ridge to the Rothorn, delivering views of the Matterhorn, Weisshorn, and the surrounding four-thousanders on one side and the quiet Zermatt valley on the other. In the Tufterkumme, chamois can be spotted moving through the valley below.

The trail climbs through a small larch forest on partially steep terrain, ultimately delivering views of the southeast face of the Weisshorn pyramid at 2,936 m — all with the Matterhorn visible across the valley.

Geisstrift - Europahütte
The trail climbs from Randa to the Europahütte at 2220 m, a hut built in 1999 by the Burgergemeinde Randa that sits directly on the Europaweg — the high route threading the rocky flanks of the Mattertal between Grächen and Zermatt. From the hut's large sun terrace, a sweeping panoramic view opens across the valley.
