Beyond the hut, the path onto the glacier demands sure-footedness and experience, or a guided tour.

Adlerweg Etappe 65
From the 1875-inaugurated Dresdner Hütte, the route crosses a stream and climbs through scree and boulders to the Beiljoch at 2672 m via a partly rope-secured grassy ridge. The descent on the far side follows scree-covered meadows and a lateral moraine down to the Sulzenauhütte — a route reserved strictly for sure-footed, head-for-heights hikers walking at the very edge of the glacier.

Windachtal - Brunnenkogel-Schutzhaus
The trail climbs through the Windachtal gorge to the Brunnenkogelhaus, a mountain hut perched directly on the 2,738 m summit of the Brunnenkogel, surrounded by the Stubai and Ötztal Alps. The peak itself is built from gneiss that glows in shifting colours — brown-reddish on one side, greenish on the other.
