A loop through the heart of Haute-Savoie, this route passes through varied landscapes of alpine pastures and dense forests, with views stretching across the Aravis and Mont Blanc ranges.

Boucle du Petit Pâtre
From the hamlet of Les Mouilles, the route climbs through forest before breaking out onto the open Plateau des Bénés at around 1800m, where a 360° panorama sweeps across the Aravis, the Vallée de l'Arve, and the full face of the Mont Blanc massif. A broad ridge path leads to the Cabane du Petit Pâtre, a traditional shepherd's hut set beneath the 2236m peak of Grand Croisse Baulet, where cows and sheep graze the alpine pastures.

The route climbs to a plateau at around 1,800m, tracing a wide ridge between the eastern slopes of the Aravis range and the Arve valley, where the view of the Mont-Blanc massif is unobstructed.
