Depuis la bergstation à 1800 m, l'itinéraire passe devant un Bergheumuseum et monte jusqu'à la croix sommitale du Lachenkopf, où par temps clair on peut observer des parapentistes s'élancer depuis le versant sud du Jöchelspitze et planer haut au-dessus de la vallée en contrebas.

A loop through spruce forest and open alpine pasture, the route climbs from the Geierwally car park past the rebuilt Kasermandl hut at 1,410 m, drops into the Bernhardstal valley to cross the Bernhardsbach creek, then returns via the Gibler Alm — two rustic rest stops above the wild Lech valley.
