Le sentier fait le tour du Großer Alpsee, balisé tout au long par des panneaux portant le symbole d'un martin-pêcheur (Eisvogel), et suit un itinéraire dans le sens des aiguilles d'une montre depuis l'AlpSeeHaus à Bühl en passant par des points de vue en hauteur sur les eaux bleues du lac, avec un détour facultatif vers le Gschwender Wasserfall situé juste à l'écart du chemin principal.
