  From the 1875-inaugurated Dresdner Hütte, the route crosses a stream and climbs through scree and boulders to the Beiljoch at 2672 m via a partly rope-secured grassy ridge. The descent on the far side follows scree-covered meadows and a lateral moraine down to the Sulzenauhütte — a route reserved strictly for sure-footed, head-for-heights hikers walking at the very edge of the glacier.
