The loop climbs roughly 600 metres from the shores of Lake Lucerne up to the Seebodenalp, a sweeping alpine plateau of around 380 hectares where 180 are under cultivation. From the alp, views open across Lake Zug, Lake Lucerne, and the Rigi massif.
