Thun - Merligen
The trail hugs the eastern shore of the Thunersee from Thun, passing through handsome lakeside towns and villages, with a worthwhile detour to Schloss Hünegg and its park. Above the lake, the route climbs to a panoramic ridge roughly 200 m above the water, threading through the Riderbachschlucht gorge along the way.
