The Stundenweg — "Hours Trail" — once linked the Abbey of Saint John in Müstair, Switzerland, with the snow-white Monte Maria Abbey near Burgusio, threading a cross-border route through the Val Monastero valley where German and Romansh cultures meet. Following a rockfall, only the second stage from Laudes to Burgusio remains walkable.
