The route traverses the rocky south side of the Wilder Kaiser, passing landmarks such as the Schleier waterfall, the Ellmauer Tor, the Jubiläumssteig, and the Rehbachklamm gorge, with sweeping panoramas across the Kitzbühel Alps to the glaciated peaks of the main Alpine ridge. The second stage demands a head for heights on steep, heavily exposed paths with rope protection and footholds, while overnight stays at the Gaudeamushütte and Gruttenhütte punctuate the journey.
