  Die gesamte Route wird von der Westflanke des Matterhorns dominiert, die sich über einem erhebt, und der Weg führt an mehreren kleinen Bergseen und einem Gletscherbach vorbei, bevor ein anspruchsvolles Klettern über loses Gestein und Geröll folgt, wobei selbst im August Schnee möglich ist. Die Route bietet ausgezeichnete Aussichten auf den Furgg-Gletscher, und das Gelände wechselt von markierten Pfaden zu einem wilden, offenen Tal auf der anderen Seite des Berges.
