Le Mittelweg est, avec le Westweg et l'Ostweg, l'un des trois itinéraires de grande randonnée nord-sud à travers la Forêt-Noire. Il relie Pforzheim à Waldshut. Ce chemin de crête d'environ 230 kilomètres a été tracé en 1903 et est depuis lors entretenu et géré par le Schwarzwaldverein. Son balisage est un losange rouge avec une barre blanche sur fond blanc.
